Kia Ora!

When a 25-year-old Nadia Lim filled in an application to be part of reality cooking show way back in 2011, she could never have known how that fateful decision would change her life forever. Today, the foodie star is back where it all began and this time she’s not only in charge of the show, but she’s now one of the country’s most recognisable, most-trusted and most-liked people. While reality TV may have launched Nadia’s career, no one can deny that it’s talent, passion plus a lot of hard work and sacrifice that have got her to where she is today. With the new season of onscreen now, we catch up with the foodie at her home in Arrowtown. Talking about hard work, our editor Sebastian is having a well-deserved week off and is currently hiking through the East Coast, scoffi ng paua pies, discovering fossils and downing the odd beer. He’ll tell you all about it next week.
