Every deerstalker worth their salt wants to own the ultimate rifle. You might think that firing money at it is a simple solution, but for most it’s a journey. Knowing what I know now, could the journey have been a straighter, shorter and cheaper road?
There are a few questions to ask at the beginning of any rifle purchase: calibre is a major one. First consider the game you wish to take and the recoil you are prepared to handle. Next is the weight of the rifle. The lighter it is, the easier it will be to handle and carry, but the heavier it is, then the better it absorbs recoil.
