A Granturismo Day Out

It’s not often we begin an article with commentary on the state of the world, but in this case we’ll make an exception. As we settled down for our first brew of the day the conversation inevitably turned to the cost of living and Richard’s reply is worth repeating, if for no other reason than it explains why he’s so passionate about his Granturismo range. “If there’s any good to come out of all this,” he began, “I hope it’s that we appreciate the value of the resources we have around us. We’ve developed a society where discarding things is normal and that frustrates me more than anything.”

At this point it’s probably worth digressing and, for the benefit of anyone unfamiliar with Granturismo, briefly introducing Richard. A proud native of Birmingham, Richard is a professional engineer, not your average ‘Garagiste’. The roll call of companies he’s worked for reads like a Who’s Who of British excellence with project values measured not in thousands
