Going to a tournament I’ve played in previously, then not playing, would normally be really frustrating for me. And annoying. At heart, I still feel like I’m a golfer. So, I’d rather be playing than watching.

But the Masters is different.

I was there this year as a spectator and it really was a treat to be at Augusta National. Exciting too. I’m lucky, of course. As a past major champion I get invited every year. And I really get looked after. My ticket also gave me a parking pass inside the grounds. So, I got to drive up Magnolia Lane every day, which is a bit special. It was no surprise that everyone staying in our rented house wanted to jump in the car with me each morning.
