WHO CAN CATCH KO?

Jin Young Ko is the undisputed queen of women’s golf. The World No.1 has established a clear lead over her nearest rival, Nelly Korda, on the back of form during the past 12 months that has yielded six wins, two runner-up finishes and another three top-10s.

At the time of writing that was all achieved from a relatively light schedule of just 14 LPGA events since July 1 last year. To add to the legend, she played, and won, three times in four starts to round out 2021 with an injured wrist.

The 2021 Rolex Player of the Year then spent the next four months back home in Korea with her friends, family and dog. She also confessed to binge watching “Netflix in bed and eating potato chips”.

And there was little practice for fear it would further aggravate her injured wrist.
