There is nothing like a hairy rain spider on the wall to give many of us the shivers. When I was younger, my father always let the creepy crawly climb onto his hand to safely release it somewhere in the garden. My grandmother, on the other hand, would give an almighty shriek and soon nothing would be left of the unfortunate critter. Is it wrong to kill a spider, or any of the other bugs? Are they not all part of God’s creation?
Clean and unclean insects
There is no Biblical prohibition against killing insects, bugs, spiders, or other such creatures. The Old Testament Law did however separate the clean insects that the Israelites” – Leviticus 11:20-23
