RIDE

Home leg of the #Nowhere30 tour yields a resounding win

THE cover and title of Ride’s 1990 debut attempted to project a cool detachment, but the reason chimed with so many is because those blank sheets of guitars failed to conceal its essential vulnerability and naive teenage idealism. Interestingly, Andy comes closer to doing so than either of Ride’s two post-reunion efforts; its timely appearance in February has helped build anticipation for this delayed 30th Anniversary Tour. While the atmosphere tonight might not compare to Ride’s original comeback show at this same venue seven years ago, the sense of goodwill is palpable.
