Now in its third decade, Harley-Davidson’s Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) continues to lead the way in limited-edition, handcrafted factory custom motorcycle styling, pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with paint, plating and other finishes.

The attention to detail and custom finish that has defined the CVO lineup continues, with all-new paint options across the range this year, along with the Milwaukee-Eight 117 as standard and a high complement of safety and rider-assistance features, too.

One CVO model has been taken away for 2022, but another has been added in its place.

FOUR OF A KIND

The 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO lineup consists of the CVO Street Glide, CVO Road Glide, CVO Road Glide Limited and CVO Tri Glide.

This is only subtly changed from last year’s offerings, with the Ultra Limitedbased CVO Limited dropped for 2022 and the CVO Road Glide Limited returning to offer similar long-distance touring capability.

All four MY22 models are powered by the twin-cooled Milwaukee-Eight 117 v-twin, which up until this year, was only available on the CVO range. Now, Harley’s largest factory engine is also fitted to selected Cruising (AKA Softail) and Touring models.

Currently, the air/oil-cooled 117ci v-twin varies fractionally in terms of output across the CVO lineup, from 78kW and 169Nm (105hp and 125lb/ft) to 79kW and 171Nm (106hp and 126lb/ft),
