In 1953 and 1954, the Lincoln-Mercury divisions of the Ford Motor Co. dazzled the crowds at the Chicago Auto Show with a surprising, unprecedented number of one-off, specially trimmed production models, and a pair of truly futuristic dream cars. The occasions were the 45th and 46th annual auto show, and the venue was the International Amphitheatre in Chicago.
