JIVING ON THE DANCEFLOOR THE EARL AND COUNTESS OF WESSEX JOIN LIBERATION FESTIVITIES ON THE CHANNEL ISLANDS

The Earl and Countess of Wessex received an enthusiastic welcome from generations young and old as they joined Channel Islanders for their Liberation Day celebrations.

Children and pensioners alike turned out to greet Prince Edward and Sophie during a three-day visit that took in the islands of Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Sark.

While schoolchildren waved flags and dressed in red, white and blue, older members of the community joined the royal contestant Robert Rinder, who was hosting the event.
