This year is quite a big one for New Zealand television – there are so many local shows to enjoy and in this week’s issue, has been one to watch, especially as our columnist Kerre was twirling around the floor. Unfortunately, she was voted off by the judges last week but, as she tells in her column on page 77, she has no regrets. We also chat with another contestant, Brodie Kane and her mum Jo. It’s a lovely interview – they obviously have a close bond. Elsewhere, we catch up with Holly Shervey who has made a return to , as well as reality stars Leisel and Brayden who have found love on new show . And finally, don’t miss our story with Francis and Kaiora Tipene, who have been on our screens for the last five years in . It’s a show that really pulls at my heartstrings – the respect and care they show for those who have passed away, as well as helping wha¯nau navigate grief means I’ll cry in almost every episode. But it’s a bit of an emotional rollercoaster because I’ll also be in tears of laughter with their wonderful sense of humour, usually Francis doing his own thing while Kaiora reacts. Wendyl Nissen talks to them on page 6 about the pain of losing someone very close to them, as well as raising their five sons and the impact fame has had on their lives. It’s a beautiful story.
