The Australian actor attended Mary Katrantzou’s 2018 show and approached the designer to work together on her dress. Six months in the making, the playful look was inspired by nostalgic childhood pastimes. Katrantzou says Blanchett was heavily involved throughout the process: “She was incredible to work with, clear in her vision, yet open with her creative approach.”
