Jubilee fever

I AM glad that the Bar Topolski in its Hungerford Bridge arch by the Festival Hall has survived the lockdowns and that Feliks Topolski’s mural artwork, Memoir of the 20th Century, is still displayed there. I visited the artist there when it was his studio, and also when it became a gallery after his death. It would be a shame for his remarkable career to be forgotten; his brilliant draughtsmanship was similar in style to that of Ronald Searle.
