ALMOST exactly 125 years ago, on May 15, 1897, Messrs Walton & Lee had the full run of COUNTRY LIFE’s first advertisement page, featuring seven properties for sale and to let that ranged from ‘the noted sporting and residential estate known as Hargham Hall’ in Norfolk to the splendours of Pyrgo Park in Havering (then Essex, now London).
