“LUXURY, FOR ME, means being close to nature and experiencing it in its raw form. One of my most luxurious trips has been a vacation at Soneva Fushi, Maldives (). I went there for two to three days with my friends. Throughout my stay at the property, I moved about barefoot. There was stunning white sand all around and bright coral reefs under water, which I discovered while snorkelling. Soneva Fushi is a sustainable resort, where they recycle everything from door knobs, glass bottles, to wood and resin—they make construction out of waste. The time spent at the property was magical. I stayed up at night to gaze at clear, star-filled skies and woke up early to see the sun rise. I took inspiration from the landscape, underwater foliage, and skies collection, which I showcased at the Paris Haute Couture Week in 2021.”
