If you are a follow of Emiko Davies on Instagram (@emikodavies – her posts are a real treat), you will have followed her gastronomic adventures around Venice in search of on her feed a year or so ago. This then, is the eagerly awaited book on the subject and, as the strapline declares, it is crammed with “small bites from the lagoon city” – which is essentially are. The flavours and style of these tiny morsels are also fundamental to the character and life of the Venetian people, which makes this book as much a social document as a collection of regional recipes.
