SETS UP GLOBAL CENTRE FOR TRADITIONAL MEDICINE

The foundation stone of the GCTM was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel, Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General, World Health Organization (WHO) at Jamnagar on April 19. The PM also inaugurated the Global AYUSH Investment & Innovation Summit (GAIIS) 2022 organised at Gandhinagar on April 20. The three-day summit held by Government of India in partnership with Government of Gujarat with an aim to boost investments in the AYUSH sector, brought together entrepreneurs, industry leaders, AYUSH start-ups and other stakeholders. As part of the event, five plenary sessions, eight roundtables, six workshops, and two symposiums were organised and around 90 eminent speakers and 100 exhibitors were in attendance.
