    SAUSAGE-SELLING MACHINES

    A surprisingly popular series of vending machines selling sausages have launched across parts of Germany. Some of the machines even offer multiple types of sausages including bratwurst, bockwurst, and other barbecue meats, as well as, punnets of potato salad. According to industry spokesperson, Heike Richter, the special vending machines appear to be the most successful outside certain German cities where shops may not open long hours. Richter added that “there is a strong development towards the vending machine, which is used to deliver meat, milk, eggs and other products to customers outside of core opening times.” There are more than 570,000 vending machines in Germany.
