    We are a Juno Awards-winning women-led AfroCuban roots and jazz band. Born and raised in Cuba, we now live in Toronto, Canada. The name ‘Okan’ means ‘heart’ in our AfroCuban Santería dialect. We started the band in 2016 and have released two albums, (Juno-nominated 2020) and (Juno winner 2021), and (Independent Music Awards winner 2018). We are currently making our third album.
