They never weeded their gardens or trimmed their hedges. Whenever they finished eating or drinking something in the street, they just dropped their litter.
No wonder the town was messy and overgrown, with rubbish everywhere!
The mayor was a lady called Jo. She really cared about the town and tried to organise projects to make it better, but nobody listened to her.
