Founded by Johann Rupert, chairman of luxury group Richemont, and former chairman of Cartier Franco Cologni, the Michelangelo Foundation is a non-profit institution devoted to highlighting the work of European artisans. Entirely self-funded, it was created with the intention of encouraging artisanal commissions and promoting the transfer of centuries-old skills to future generations through scholarships and other initiatives.
