Going totally Dotty for bolting bunnies

Spring was definitely in the air. The sky above the open moor was filled with a cacophony of buzzes, churrs and peewits as Dotty and I approached through the wooden gate.

The skylarks rose above our heads, where the peewits’ wonderful aerobatic display served as the perfect curtain-raiser to our quest to harvest some rabbits for my upcoming cooking demonstration in Oxfordshire. To me, this exemplifies what ferreting offers. A relaxed adventure in some of the most beautiful countryside in god’s own county with a boxful of stinkers, a good spade and a handy dog by my side.
