1965 DODGE DART GT
THE THIRD-GEN Dodge Dart is a shape rarely seen here in Australia. It’s quite a shame, as this stylish two-row droptop ticks plenty of boxes, including a 273-cube V8 under the bonnet.
“It also happens to be a GT, the highest-spec third-gen Dart, which was available only in two-door hardtop or convertible form.
Chrysler turfed their push-button auto design for the Dart in 1965, leaving this example with a more traditional floor-mounted shifter.
The car features a new interior and white soft-top, alongside fresh brakes to effectively rein in the 180hp powerplant. The left-hand-drive 1965 model is in Gidgegannup, WA, with the seller asking $48,000.
