The A-series platform was used as the base for a whole range of utility vehicles, and the history is intertwined with that of the 2CV saloons. The 2CV made its debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 7th, 1949, like most car derived commercials it was a few years later 1951, before the van (Fourgonette) was introduced to the world. Basically there are five variants of the 2CV camionette or fourgon, these being AU (1951-56), AZU (1954-1977), followed by the AK (1963-1970) the AKS (1970-1978) and was superseded by the Acadiane in 1978. We need to look at the differences and changes in more depth
