As the wonderful world of Downton Abbey once again graces the big screen for its second cinematic outing this week, fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the return of their beloved characters, from glamorous Crawley sisters Lady Mary and Lady Edith, to Dame Maggie Smith’s hilariously quick-witted Dowager Countess of Grantham. And that excitement was shared by the show’s long-running costume designer Anna Robbins when she started creating the film’s stunning vintage wardrobe.
“It was just lovely to be back working with the gorgeous cast and travelling back to an era I love,” she tells , giving an exclusive glimpse of, for which she was responsible for every beautiful bead, sparkling sequin and perfectly placed ruffle.
