VERYONE LOVES A BEFORE-AND-AFTER, even more so when it’s for a great cause. Recently, the team joined forces with Kmart and The Reach Foundation to make over a school in need of a brand new look. The Bowen College in Sydney’s Maroubra is attended by a small group of 15 students and is situated in an 11-room house. It’s one of Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets’ six accredited, independent high schools that provide education to young people who have become disengaged from mainstream education. The design challenge for us was to create an inspiring space for these wonderful teens to use, learn and feel at home in. Suffice to say, they loved the end result!
