DAN ICARUS, otherwise known as “Mr Reliable”, is certainly following in the footsteps of his father, grand prix stallion Durable. Nikki Barker rode the nine-year-old to Nupafeed advanced medium freestyle honours, having won the same title with Durable back in 2017.

Dan Icarus, known as Reuben, is out of a Negro mare and was bred by Viv Gleave, who owns Durable with Nikki.

“He has been a dream from day one, backed in minutes, always easy. Every year he comes out and wins me a title – he’s a dude, ” said Nikki.
