First-round report: all good so far

‘FROM THE BIRDROOM’

IN MY birdroom, the breeding season for the Fife canaries started two weeks earlier than in previous years, with the hens going to nest quickly after pairing. We’d taken the decision for the Yorkshires to remain at my partner Bob Pepper’s for this year, as we were breeding with a much smaller number of hens, together with fewer cock birds. So this made sense for both of us.
