For a country with a population of only five million, New Zealand has had a disproportionate influence on road-racing over the years.

Kiwi riders have always had a presence in international road-race paddocks, the Britten though is the first world-class race bike from this tiny country. Designed and built by John Britten, it is an example of one man’s unorthodox ideas that were made to work and dominate BOTT (Battle ofThe Twins), BEARS (British European American Race Series) and AMA Pro-Twins races in the 1990s.
