Before he stumbled across a TikTok video that showed a rescued donkey herd at a livestock auction that had been bound for slaughter, King had never given donkeys much and , but he’d recently left the business — along with a fast-paced New York lifestyle — and was living in California, trying to figure out his next chapter.
