Cavalleria Rusticana

First staged by Vancouver Opera in 1966, Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana has enjoyed a respectable performance history in the Pacific Northwest. Although typically paired with Leoncavallo’s I pagliacci, Mascagni’s big-hit opera on this occasion (Feb. 13) received a concert performance by VO as a stand-alone presentation.
