Saving a Silk Remnant

he Chinese silk square, a lovely emerald green, was stuffed into a box of textile remnants at a flea market. How could I resist the flying cranes embroidered in shimmering gold thread, highlighted with crimson and black detailing? The fabric, alas, was in a sorry state: wrinkled, roughly cut at]. They conserved the fabric and turned it into a very special pillow.
