VENTILATION INSULATION

Dear John,

I own a caravan with a Four Seasons Hatch positioned centrally over the queen island bed like so many other caravans. However, as I lay in bed it occurred to me that although this hatch provided varied ventilation when required, it was also a large source of heat loss in cold weather and also heat gain in hot weather because it provided no insulation whatsoever.

Therefore, I designed an insulated clip-on ceiling panel (same colour as ceiling) almost flush with the Insulated caravan ceiling to provide a clean aesthetic view over the large recessed uninsulated area of the Four Seasons hatch. I now have the option of clipping this insulated panel to the ceiling when required. I thought this idea may be of interest to other
