    This movie tells the story from the Chinese perspective of the desperate Battle of Chosin Reservoir fought in 1950 during the Korean War. It is reportedly China’s most expensive has caused some controversy, standing accused of being jingoistic Chinese propaganda. However, arguably it is no more jingoistic than the likes of Michael Bay’s bombastic , Steven Spielberg’s flag-waving or Roland Emmerich’s rallying .
