Reflective Celebration
German sportswear label Adidas and Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto celebrated the twentieth anniversary of their collaboration on the Y-3 brand. Exploring the past, present and future of the brand, the “20 Years: Re-Coded” campaign stars French soccer manager and player Zinedine Zidane. The athlete himself has collaborated with the brand on multiple occasions, appearing in numerous Y-3 ads and walking in a number of runway shows. Creative director Jamie Reid and photographer Gabriel Moses worked together to create a memorable short film and an array of stills, all in black-and-white, showcasing the soccer player in different ensembles and dynamic poses. The latest collection includes trench coats, sweatshirts, puffer vests and the brand’s latest piece, the UltraBOOST 22.
Be Your Own Superhero
celebrated the joy brought by comic books through its spring/summer 2022 campaign. In collaboration with DC Comics, the campaign starred Evan Garcia and Naomi Campbell. The mastermind behind this collection, creative director Bruno Sialelli, presented a Parisian touch through the use of the house’s symbolic fabric, silk jersey. Garcia’s look for the campaign serves as an epic to Gotham City’s hero, Batman, showcasing the character and his iconic car, the Batmobile, on the shirt and bag he is rocking in photos taken by Luis Alberto Rodriguez.
