• Linen fabric: 35x35cm, natural
• DMC stranded cotton: see Notes
• DMC metallic stranded thread: 1 skein of gold
• Embroidery hoop: 20cm diameter
• Highlighter pen: pastel pink

Picture stepping out of your door each day to find wildflowers and a gorgeous canopy to stroll through – pure bliss! Since we can’t actually move in, we’re doing the next best thing and stitching this dream home using a blend of Satin Stitch and Variated Backstitch to create painterly strokes of thread. Then, we’re adding in French Knots and Straight Stitch to create those all-important details.

01 Transfer the design from the template onto the fabric using your preferred method. We used a heat-erasable pen and a lightbox. Then, mount your stitching in your hoop with the design positioned centrally and the fabric pulled taut like a drum.
