NEC Birmingham March 18-20

The Practical Classics Restoration Show is perhaps not the first to spring to mind when thinking of events that would appeal to American car enthusiasts. Sure, we’ve all got soft spots for American-engined (if I can term it thus) British cars such as P5 and P6 Rovers, Jensen Interceptors or Facel Vegas even… but pure American content was pretty thin on the ground at this event.

Of course, the organisers would argue that this isn’t a car show as such – the clue is in the title of the event and it’s more of a celebration of the art of restoration and resource to come and find tools, equipment, meet experts and businesses that are all in the restoration trade. After all, welding an American car is no different from a British one,
