Trolling around the Port Stephens offshore grounds they call the Carpark, it didn’t take long to raise a nice size striped marlin on one of our teasers. Quickly, a pre-rigged live slimy mackerel bait was pulled from the bait tube and tossed out over the transom. As the boat’s speed slowed up a little, reducing the wash, the live bait had nowhere to hide and sent out the nervous vibes attracting a swift attack.
