Joanna Cannon qualified as a doctor in her 30s – working in both A&E and psychiatry – before having a bestseller with her debut novel, The Trouble with Goats and Sheep. Since then, she’s written another bestseller, Three Things About Elsie; a powerful memoir, Breaking & Mending; and her new novel, A Tidy Ending, about Linda, a frustrated woman living in suburbia. But as with all Joanna’s books, not everything is as it seems.
