WEARABLE ART

The Reverso Tribute Enamel Hidden Treasures series by Jaeger-LeCoultre pays tribute to three iconic artists: Gustave Courbet, Vincent van Gogh and Gustav Klimt. These limited-edition works of metiers d’art see the watchmaker using the reverse of its swivelling Reverso case as the canvas on which to reproduce the artists’ iconic works using enamel (1917), which was stolen in the late 1990s from an exhibition in Italy. Thankfully, it was recovered from the gallery’s grounds in perfect condition by a gardener just a few days later.
