Welcome to a new and hopefully very informative Bow International concept specifically designed to focus on the newcomers to our great sport. It will discuss the very basics that beginner archers need to be aware of and answer those queries we all have when first introduced to the archery ranks.

First up, I want to address the very basic quandary facing the novice shooter – the choice of bow and how to set it up. The starting point for virtually all newcomers to our archery club involves the have-a-go (also known as the come-and-try), where basic instruction on how to shoot a recurve bow is the initial experience.
