‘I took a bold approach’

New-build homes can sometimes lack character, but for Victoria McDonald, a blank canvas and simple lines were the perfect backdrop for experimenting with bold colour, pattern and graphic detail in the property she bought in Lisburn, Northern Ireland in 2016. The previous owners had added an extension connecting the house to the garden, but otherwise all improvements that Victoria wanted to make were cosmetic. ‘My style is definitely eclectic,’ she explains. ‘I love punchy colours and quirky, fun accessories to complement my bold décor choices.’
