Bayern Munich being crowned champions is nothing new in Germany. But, there is a subtext to their latest Bundesliga title victory and those involved deserve appropriate recognition. Andy Wales breaks it down.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that winning eight successive titles means life has been straightforward for Bayern. In truth, many of them were. However, recent seasons have seen cracks appear in the once impenetrable armour of Bayern. Last season, those growing vulnerabilities were clear to see and Borussia Dortmund only had themselves
