It’s maybe surprising that the word maverick has never appeared on the cover of AnOther Magazine. It’s been inside often, of course, describing groundbreaking figures in spheres diverse and disparate, rarefied and raw. This magazine has always been inspired by mavericks – by creatives who play by no other rules than their own. Individual and exceptional, these are the pivotal figures we have consistently been drawn to, the transgressive and confrontational few who challenge the mainstream and in so doing – magically – influence society more broadly. We hope we can count ourselves among their number.
If every issue of
