that's life!

Welcome

The Easter bunny never failed me

Hot cross buns began appearing in supermarkets before the Christmas trees were even down. So it does feel a bit like Easterteam shared some lovely Easter stories. Claudia, who didn’t like chocolate, used to beg her parents to help her write to the Easter bunny and ask him if he could please leave her some Minties instead of chocolate eggs. ‘Mum and Dad would always oblige and, wouldn’t you know it, I’d wake up on the day to a little basket of Minties!’ said Claudia, who reckons she was the only kid she knew who didn’t like chocolate. But weirdly, Lizzy did something similar. ‘I used to write a letter asking for red frogs!’ she said. And of course, with her Greek family background, Lizzy also had great fun dyeing real boiled eggs all sorts of colours after cracking the shells, to create crazy patterns when they were peeled. ‘We thought they looked like dinosaur eggs!’ she said. Amber W didn’t have egg hunts growing up, so one year a friend she’d mentioned this to hid about 50 little eggs around their house. ‘It was so much fun,’ said Amber. ‘I can see why kids love them.’ I hope your Easter is filled with love and fun!
