The Minimum Force Law

SOUTH AFRICA’S violent crime rate is such that we’ve become one of the most heavily armed private populations in the world. Our criminals are also very heavily armed, so our chances of having to defend ourselves against a potentially lethal attack are not remote.

For this reason we need to fully understand the meaning of SA’s law regarding the use of ‘minimum force’ when defending ourselves against unlawful attack.
