I can’t help but wonder what we missed with the cancellation of the major league phase of the 2021 Rule 5 draft.

I’m not sad for me. I’ve seen many Rule 5 drafts. I hope to see many more. I’m simply an observer, not a participant.

But it’s natural to wonder if there’s a player who would have made the majors because of this year’s Rule 5 draft whose chance just disappeared.
