Pivotal moment

Making its Down Under debut a couple of years after its overseas launch, the new Hyundai HL970 wheel loader is a higher spec model introduced for a rapidly expanding Australian market.

Hyundais are distributed throughout Australia by Porter Group, and the company’s national sales manager Michael Carter says the company worked with Hyundai to produce a Tier 3 emissions model for the Australian market.

“We’ve worked really hard on keeping our machines simple and we haven’t really wanted to introduce [Tier 4 or 5 models] into Australia,” he says.
