“There’s awareness that the collective is more powerful than the individual”

Sydney creative Denis Vukcevic might never have seen his soaring fluorescent witch’s hat with a gargantuan spiralling point – like something plucked from a lysergic Tim Burton fever dream – sailing down the runway at Australian fashion week, if it wasn’t for Jordan Gogos. “Before the show I had never worked with fashion or creating wearables. I initially had no idea how to create my witchy character,” the fledgling artist and designer recounts. “But throwing myself into the fire with the love, guidance and support of the Iordanes Spyridon Gogos [ISG being Jordan Gogos’s Greek moniker] community gave me the magic to make her come alive.”

Like the long list of names that Gogos collaborates with as standard practice for his fashion-cum-wearable-art collections, Vukcevic was encouraged
