DAVE'S RACE

A humble and hard-working bloke:

Dave Balderstone was humble, hard-working and a community-minded man with a passion for downhill; a person everyone looked up to. His passions were trail building and racing, and he worked behind the scenes preparing tracks for Gravity Canterbury races, doing maintenance with the rangers, and building new tracks. A close friend Matt Clarke said Dave “had more passion than any of us. He wanted tracks that were challenging, and he loved seeing other people ride them. But he never looked for praise or gratitude.”
